Can't pretend that I'm an expert on this band, so I won't. The name was familiar, but I'd never bought or heard anything by them. But, this is a new album, and I believe, though may be mistaken, that they reformed in order to record it. So should they have bothered? Well, I'd need to know more about their old material to be able to pass comment on that. What we have here though is an album that broadly fits into the dreaded "emo" category. Dreaded cos it's a category. But that should give you an idea of what to expect here.

Personally, I found it a little hard to get into the first couple of times, in some respects because it’s so melodic and mellow. But once you get there, if this is your sort of thing, then it is quality.

If you’ve never taken an excursion down the emo-core highway (I should be shot for even using that label), then I would personally recommend trying out something like Sensefield first. I find that easier to grasp than this.
